Google mobile-only search

Not sure how I missed this, but google did release a beta mobile-only search (Mobilemag). It appears as an option together with Web, Images and Local. Well done Google !

Mobile search

Mooogl
This story caught my eye the other day, Introducing
MOOOBL
, I am wandering how long will it take for google to
catch-on and release a mobile-only search. Their web-2-mobile proxy
can be useful at times, but what if I want to search in the mobile
space only? Seems like these guys were there first. The main page even
has mobile ads, are they gonna implement "Mobile Adsense"?

Telcos are probably not overly excited about sites like that emerging,
as the article says Their expected shift from being a full content provider to being a transport infrastructure that provides others
content is heralding the dawn of the real Mobile Internet
. I
don't think that they are gonna become an ISP overnight, but their
revenue from ringtone/wallpaper/game sales will decrease as content
providers implement their own mobile sites, utilise other billing
methods such as Bango and become
searchable/indexable through Mooobl,
Bango and others.

Yet another mobile blog?

I read mobile-related blogs every day and I think its time to start my
own. Not exactly sure what it will be like, probably just ideas and
comments about mobile internet, payments, location services,
messaging, telcos, etc. Maybe brief handset reviews, as I get some
exposure to pre-release 3G handsets .... we'll see.
